Vadodara city is named for its abundance of the Banyan (Vad) trees because the word "Vadodara" comes from the Gujarati word "Vad" which means banyan tree.
The city is situated on the banks of the Vishwamitri River. The railway line and National Highway No. 08 which connect Delhi with Mumbai pass through Vadodara. The city has witnessed establishment of medium and large scale industries.
Nirja Foundation plays a role for the betterment of the citizens to protect the environment not just by themselves, but also by creating awareness towards the importance of environment conservation and motivating them to participate in tree-plantation campaigns.
We educate and empower people to give back to nature and live in an environment favourable to their health and well-being.
Our work to take our tree plantation program drives to more cities and to induct more tree plantation enthusiasts and corporate teams to help us strengthen our efforts.
Our mission is Green Gujarat, Swachh Gujarat, Panidar Gujarat, Tandurast Gujarat, Bhantu Gujarat.
